In this meeting the UC Davis imaging community will share strategies promoting inclusive practices interacting with scanning-related research participants.

All IRC imaging-affiliated faculty, graduate students, postdocs, staff, and study coordinators are encouraged to participate.

In this first Town Hall meeting, we have invited several members of our imaging community to share brief presentations about specific strategies used in their labs. These will be followed by an open discussion and question/answer session. Confirmed presenters and topics include:

Praveena Singh (Carter Lab): Physical attributes such as hair, head coverings, body size, physical disability 

Ian Farnsworth (Schweitzer Lab): ADHD and issues related to motion  

Guneet Bindra (ADRC) Elderly participants from Latino and Black communities 

Rebekha Alfaro (ADRC): Recruitment for imaging studies - Latino community/cultural sensitivity 

Beth Kruse (Carter Lab): Mental health conditions, including schizophrenia spectrum disorder and depression
