Increasing Access through Reducing Disparities
The purpose of this webinar series is to highlight underserved and vulnerable populations and offer participants the current knowledge about effective services and treatment for these populations. The aim of this series is to facilitate discussion that inspires positive change. This series of four webinars begins with the Deputy Director of the Office of Health Equity’s overview of the definition of health equity and the State of California’s plan to promote health and mental health equity for all Californians. In the following webinars, experts will discuss evidence-based services and treatments for specific underserved communities.

Mr. Miller is the Deputy Director of the California Department of Public Health's Office of Health Equity. He is California's lead advisor on issues related to reducing health and mental health disparities and achieving health equity for all Californians.
Moderated by Carolyn S. Dewa, M.P.H., Ph.D., Professor in Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at UC Davis and the Director of Outcomes and Evaluations for the Behavioral Health Center of Excellence at UC Davis.
